Our organic Matcha powder is grown exclusively in the ancient city of Kyoto, Japan. Japanese tea culture was developed in Kyoto and has been used for almost a millennium in tea ceremonies. It is grown and produced near the river in fertile soil using traditional techniques to grow the highest possible quality of Matcha. At each spring harvest, only the first young, finest leaves are collected. They are grown in the shade - to avoid direct sunlight, which stimulates the growth of chlorophyll. They are then ground to a fine powder to form an ultra-fine, radiant green powder. Thanks to special conditions and growing techniques, our Matcha is smooth and soft, with a delicate and noble scent.
