Plant dyes have antioxidant effects.

Anthocyanins are a group of natural substances, namely water -soluble dyes, blue, red or purple. The intensity of the color shade then affects the ph of the environment in which the substance occurs. In an acidic environment the dye is red/orange, in alkaline then blue/purple.

However, anthocyans are not only dyes, they also have significantly antioxidant effects. They naturally occur mainly in flowers and fruits such as cranberries, raspberries, plums or cherries and do not have negative effects on human health.

However, the richest sources of anthocyans are aronia and elderberry fruits. As a dye, anthocyans are obtained from different fruits, namely by pressing (mainly peel). The extract thus obtained is then dried and used in juices, fruit juices, yoghurts, ice creams and various other foods.

Anthocyanins are not only one of the excellent natural antioxidants, but also many of them against inflammation, viruses, etc. Foods rich in anthocyans help reduce pressure and are suitable for infections of the urinary system.
